Cookie Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones QRcodeUniverse uses, why, and how you can control them.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and — where applicable — support advertising. Similar technologies such as local storage serve related purposes; we refer to them collectively as “cookies” here.

2. How we use cookies

QRcodeUniverse is designed to work with as few cookies as possible. The QR codes you create are generated in your browser and never uploaded, so no cookie is needed to process your content.

3. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function, including remembering your light/dark theme preference and your most recent QR design (stored in your browser’s local storage). These cannot be switched off in our systems.

Analytics

Help us understand aggregate, anonymous usage — such as which pages are popular — so we can improve the site. These do not identify you personally.

Advertising

If we display ads (for example via Google AdSense), our advertising partners may set cookies to measure performance and, with consent where required, show more relevant ads. See our Privacy Policy for details and opt-out links.

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties such as Google. We do not control these cookies; please review the relevant provider’s policy. You can opt out of personalized Google ads at Google Ads Settings and other vendors at aboutads.info/choices.

5. Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to block them. Most browsers explain how in their help pages. Blocking cookies will not stop the QR code generator from working, though some preferences may not be remembered.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
